I'm going to shoot a short on Mini35. Now I'm asking me if the frame is equal or smaller than an 35mm frame, because the 3ccd-chip is smaller than an 35mm frame. The question is, if e.g. an 18mm lens made the same widescreen frame as when I shot on 35mm or if the frame is cut of on the edges.

That's the entire point of the P&S Technik adaptor.

The lens is projected onto a 35mm-sized groundglass so the field of view / depth of field characteristics of that lens used in 35mm photography does not change. The video camera is basically just rephotographing the image off of the back of the groundglass.

Now whether the groundglass is Academy-sized or Super-35 sized, I don't know, but that would only marginally affect the field of view.

Hi,

It's a 35mm frame size so the lens will be the same as on a 35 film camer<.

Thanks David and Stephen,
thats exactly what I think about it, but I wasn't 100 percent sure. By the way, it's great to be part of this community. You helped me very often in the last few weeks.
