Are there any adapters available to adapt a cheap old EVF from something like an XL2 to work with a HDMI port? Like a 6 pin DIN to hdmi or something like that?

Viewfinders of that era are invariably analogue, so you'd need a D-A converter of some sort. Blackmagic or AJA could sort you out. Then it's just a case of working out the pinout.

 

That is, if you really want a standard-def viewfinder.

 

Personally I'd rather put the money toward the Blackmagic one.
