I'm looking for advice about ND filters for the older Alexa cameras.

In particular, I don't want the yellow/green color cast that I've had with the Tiffen and Shnieder filters.

Any suggestions or experience?

Thanks!

Mitomo TrueNDs are the best IRNDs for the Alexa that I have tested, much better than Tiffen IRNDs or Schneider Platinum IRNDs. The are almost twice as expensive, but they are worth it.

I have heard good things about the Formatt-Hitech Firecrest NDs but have not had the chance to try them myself.

After seeing a bunch of tests, I recently moved my personal ND and Grad ND set over to the new Formatt-Hitech Firecrest NDs. They're a bit of a revolution as far as I'm concerned (coming from the dark ages of conventional IRNDs). There's virtually no discernible colour shift with the glass in front of the lens, even at 3.0!

Which is particularly helpful with the Grads I find - I have 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2, which all get a pretty healthy workout.

Gregory Irwin has posted on here before about the fidelity of the True NDs...I can't find the post now. But that's what sold me on them and I rent them when I can even for film.
