Just a quick spin around Australia using mainly the Sony A7S with Canon L series lenses, also used is the Red Rock Micro OMC slider.

As much as I loathe the desert (after working in mining it gets tiresome), there will never be a more beautiful marriage of red earth / blue sky than the outback provides.

Each to their own Brenton, and a shame your experience was tainted by the occupation you had at the time. Maybe its time for another encounter...and bring the camera this time!

Chris; wow, beautiful footage.  You didn't find it an odd mix of a Sony A7 wearing Canon glass?

No, not really George it is what it is.

I actually like to think of it as a hybrid combo that works better than having a Canon body on it. I'm not a purist so I have no issues working with non-primes, but then I have always shot for the average Joe never for the purists anyway. Bottom line is if I make a viewer feel something I've done my job I guess! Thanks for the kind comment.

Hey, you're welcome.  I ask because people on my Canon thread say that the EOS series, and in fact all Canon lenses, tend to be slower.  Me, if it looks good, then there's no beef either way.

Parts of your footage reminded me of the midwest here in the States, or even some of the outlying lowlands before you hit the Sierra Madres along the California Nevada border.  Cool stuff.  Thanks for sharing.
