Stupid question for gaffers on cleaning gear

How many gaffers wipe down their cables?  I ask because whenever I've helped wrap by coiling cables and tossing them into the truck my hands usually get all black and grimy.  

 

Not complaining, mind you, just curious.

That's usually the job of the Swing guy, and then only if they are muddy. Cable gets covered in all sorts of stuff. That's why Electricians wear gloves.
