I have a fluid head tripod and am beginning to experience a little bit of stiffness during the pan and tilt. Solutions for this? Maybe WD-40?

WD-40 dries up and becomes sticky.  Rarely is it a solution to any problem other than driving moisture off metal parts and as a cutting fluid for Aluminum.
