Hi all

 

I was wondering is it possible to use a lens doubler on anamorphic lenses? If so is it the same kind used for spherical lenses or are there specific doublers for anamorphics?

You'd have to check the compatibility on a lens by lens basis, but as long as the rear element of the lens clears the extender optics and the extender adjustment matches the lens it can work.

 

We sometimes send a doubler out with Lomo roundfronts, and have found the image quality of a 75mm with a doubler to be no worse - and possibly better - than the 150mm (at the cost of 2 stops).. which doesn't reflect too kindly on the 150mm Lomo but they are what they are.
