I was just watching the official video of "Pictures of You" by The Cure and noticed Robert Smith brandishing what appeared to be a Beaulieu 5008 a few times in the video. Little things like this make me happy.

Yup.  23 years ago that video inspired me to pick up my first camera.  It was a similar Super-8 camera I found in my folks basement.

why does anyone worry about grain? I love it. Just watched Sydney Lumet on PBS, he certainly didn't worry about it and did alright in his career.

 Yes exactly my point ... British sarcasm at its peak.. way too much pixel peeping these days..
