Can anyone please help me to remove the mech cover from the Special II carcass I have acquired?

I have removed all the obvious screws and the cover is free all round, but something at the lens end is stopping it moving more than a few mm. Can anyone suggest what I might be missing please?

Also, does the lens mount move? There are two arrows on the sides suggesting it might but it's rock solid.

Finally, is there any sort of gate element on the rear of the lens mount? Mine has just a flat plate but looks as tho' there might possibly have been something there.

I'd be grateful for any help.

I disassembled one of these a few years ago.

Hopefully these will be some help.

You have to drive out a dowel pin from the release button.

Do support when hammering
