Okay a rather silly question that I'm trying to confirm.  I've worked with various frames from 6x to 20x, but never actually measured the frame itself.  Depending on the size there usually seems to be a bit of a gap (1" or so) between the rag itself and the frame tubing.  Generally speak though are the frames themselves true lengths of the size?  Like 6x6 would measure across the outside of the frame at 72 inches, etc?  I just picked up some tubing to make a 6x and 8x frame and want to confirm before I start cutting anything.  I don't want order rags and find out they're too wide to tie.  Thanks in advance.

Cut your tubing to 6' and 8'. With corners attached you get 74"x74" for the 6x6 frame. Your fabrics will fit.
