Hi guys,

 

I'm new to film-making and just purchased an SRII and wanted to know what size (in diameter) film core would I need for the take up side of the magazine when shooting 400' rolls. I just purchased a 3" diameter film core, would that be okay?

Sadly, you need a 2" core for a film camera with 400ft magazines.

Many SR mags have a collapsible core on the take-up, which is about the size of a 2" core. If your mag has a core adapter instead then you need a 2" core.
