Do you know how to remove the melted belts residues on the plastic pulley of a projector?

Alcohol is good for metal pulleys, but on plastic I'm afraid of doing damage.

Thank you.

Do you mean the remains of a belt which has perished?

Isoprop shouldn't affect plastic. Try a dab on the side of the pulley but I'd have no hesitation.

If there are lumps of rubber I'd try a careful scrape first, maybe with a wooden spatula or orange stick of you have one.

Even a cocktail stick would do. We always have plenty of those. ;)

Thank you, Mark, I had some cocktail stick at home, I think I have cleaned well without scrapping the pulleys. There were many lumps, but now the surface is quite ok and not sticky.
