Hey all,

what is the error on a Sony camera with a yellow arrow pointing up? Is that just a generic error message? is there a way to find out what type of error it is?

Thanks!

Hi,

Upward pointing arrow with bar underneath is a tape transport error; it's asking you to eject the tape and try again.

Usually it flashes quickly and is accompanied by a code in the timecode area. I occasionally see C:31:30 from my GV-D900E miniDV player, which I believe translates to "RF Low - Head Clog?"

Talk to Sony.
