Hi All

Just wondering if anyone would be so kind and give me some feedback on the above lenses. Any background or history on these would be appreciated. General feedback. How would the the Zeiss Planars compare to say a set of Cooke Panchros lenses. Were they a low cost range of lenses from Zeiss?

Know nothing about the Som Berthiot Pan-Cinor 3,5/38-155 at all?

Many thanks Chooser

Hi,

The Planar was designed in 1896, and solved the problem of spherical aberration and astigmatism, by employing a symmetrical optical configuration. The Latestt Master Primes use Planer design in the 50mm & 65 mm lenses. The Zeiss / Cooke question is a personal one depending on the look you are after!
