There's a great deal on some Sony SCL V1 primes on this link here.
But I'm afraid they'll arrive broken. Anyone else made a purchase this big on a product retailed out of China?

For something as vulnerable and important as lenses, I like to be able to physically see them before I buy. Unless you really know and trust the seller. I have purchased lenses sight unseen from the internet, but it was from a know US based retailer. My feeling was that if returns had to be made, it would be quicker and speaking to someone on the phone would be easier.

Just lots of lenses and cams from Japan. Pretty happy with Japan, but sometimes they try to snooker the buyer.
China is OK for cheap stuff, but about 30% to 40% of what I buy gets trashed and is subpar. I will not buy $$ items from China.

eBay sellers with good feedback over a long term are generally safe to buy from in my experience. Plus, there are ample protections in place (that have worked well for me multiple times) with ebay/paypal to insure you don't get a broken item.
