Question: what is the proper word for the lens that directors sometimes use to determine what lens to use on the camera?

Thanks!

Director's Finder or Director's Viewfinder.

There is another type that allows you to mount the actual camera lens to a viewer called a Lens Finder that you'd get from the rental house.
