We are going to be shooting a short on two SDX900s with the Pro35 adapter and Zeiss SuperSpeeds.

Has anybody used the Pro35 system on the SDX900?

What advise do you have in terms of changing the camera setup?

What else should be considered?

Have you tested a set of Digi-Primes? You should at least TEST them before you commit to the Pro35 business. You'd gain ALOT of acuity and give up (gain) a little in depth of field. I don't understand why so many people seem to be willing to make that trade. Putting those high$$$ lenses out front of a bunch (2 superfluous layers) of inferior glass, losing 2 stops of gain, and adding another layer of complexity. The chain is only as strong as the weakest link, what will you shoot the ground glass of the adapter with?

"Pro 35 adapter" has become one of those buzz-words that people seem to think legitimizes a production, somehow. That's not pointed at you, Daniel. Clearly someone other than you has decided on the Pro35 set-up and that's my point. YOU are the DP and someone else has bought into the hype and now you have to figure it out.

Or not?

Atleast get them to try out a set of digiprimes. Most rental houses would let you come in and do a side-by-side if you are ultimately renting from them.
