helo everybody.great.wiss u all the same.can anyone let me know in detail how different is the kowa lens (anamorphic) is from the Hawk lens. does it really make such a difference in the quality of the image using either of them....which one is better and for what reasons. Hawk seems costly....should i go for it inspite of the cost for my next film. thanks

I'd go with the Hawks, as they are modern, color-matched anamorphics that have great close-focus and a wide range of focal lenghts available. The Kowas are older lenses that are not really used anymore for feature films.

hey raj,

i think you should surely go for the hawk lenses.just try to convince ur producer abt it and get a better image for urself cos at the end of the day the image speaks for u and nobody remembers the price saving that you did for the producer in terms of the lensing,

all the best.
