I couldn't believe my eyes when I ran into this article. Frankly, I don't even know if I should laugh, get mad or cry. Please take a minute to read Michael Bay's (director of The Island) article on March of the Penguins.

I haven't seen March of the Penguins, but it doesn't really matter... I don't know if this is some kind of joke. I am aware that Bay isn't really appreciated in the film environment, but...

Just incredible.

Mariano, THE ONION is parody. Fake news - like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

I know it' kinda satyric, but aren't the articles true? I mean, they cannot just put somebody's name on something, can they?

I thought it was supposed to be kind of comical, but even so, a director cannot say such things...

i dunno, i hadn't heard about this website before... I kinda rushed into writing this post :P

Is it or is it not Michael Bay's article?

Ok, now I'm beginning to feel a little foolish. :P I should rename the post: "Take a few moments to admire Mariano's stupidity".

Hey! Dr. Strangelove doesn't seem very real! It is almost kinda funny... Did that really happen?!?!?!? :D

oh, I'm so ashamed right now...

Don't feel too bad. Every once in awhile a foreign news agency picks up a story from The Onion and incorporates it into their own program, believing it to be a legitimate news source.

You should read some real interviews interviews Michael Bay gave recently. He basically said that Sci-Fi films like 2001 and Blade Runner are too complicated and that he wanted to do a sexy Sci-Fi film with The Island (which coincidentally was the most intelligent script he has ever read...)

It's funny, and don't feel bad about posting it.
It certainly fits Michael Bay, even if he didn't write it! Actually, I doubt he has enough of a sense of humor to write something like this.

I stopped watching his films even before Pearl Harbor (still haven't seen it).

I think he's somehow reincarnated Don "more explosions" Simpson.

Hi,

For what it's worth, I wouldn't even be able to read an article in Spanish, let alone spot whether it was satire or not.

The only good thing about Michael Bay is that his works and movies was the inspiration for a very good song in "Team America".

Wow, he's actually a god?

Personally I admire the guy, no one can blow poop up like him! If you dont like his films- dont watch them, but I think he has enriched the cinematographic dictionary considerably over the last decade.

Enriched it with backward colloquialisms and profanities.

Pearl Harbor was ok, but was uninspiring at the same time. I still feel as if the movie cheated me out of the experience, all of the material was there, but it didn't come together. Sad, really.

I did see the directors R-rated cut, and it did little other than add gore. Felt like he was trying to squeeze Saving Private Ryan into the middle of A Love Story.

i really hope Bay didnt write this article because it's ridiculous. And like someone said, it's not far-fetched from the way the director really thinks.
