I'm carefully eyeing up the new HDV cams as well as cheaper HD alternatives like the AG-HVX200. But anyhow, I'll probably be using SD for the next year at least and I'm using an older version of Premiere (6.5). I know the newer version of Premiere Pro can handle 24p as well as HD content, but I doubt it can do an interpolated up-conversion from SD to HD.

I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience using up-conversion software and could give me a rundown on it. What are some of the better ones and the most cost efficient ones.

Also, if I wanted to use something like Magic Bullet would I do that in SD first and then up-convert? Would I up-convert, and then use Premiere Pro (providing I get a copy of it) to open the hi-def content and then use Magic Bullet, or can Magic Bullet even be used on hi-def content?

I hope I explained that well, thanks.
