Hey,

I'm interested in picking up a few books focused mainly on lighting, greenscreen work, visual effects and set design. With lots of photos, how-to's, production diaries and technical specs.

Any recommendations?

Cheers,
Jonathan

Set Lighting Technician's Handbook, Third Edition by Harry C. Box for comprehensive tech info. It explains and provides complete tables.

I'd heartily reccomend John Alton's "Painting With Light" - a bunch of it is technically outdated, but so many of the principles ring so true - and it's written with great gusto and humor. Check it out!
