Hey, just curious about which direction to go when buying lenses for an S16 Camera w/PL mount.

Can 35mm Lenses do the job? I read in a previous thread that the lenses would read slightly longer in S16 than in 35. If I was buying for the future, wouldn't it make sense to buy 35 Glass in case I upgrade later.

If this question instantly seems retarded, please forgive me. I don't have alot of knowledge on this subject.

Thanks,
Chris

No problem, as far as I know. You even can use 35 mm still photo lenses.

Just check the accessories (matte box etc.) problems.

The only worry to have is how far back the rear of the lens extends. You don't want the shutter to hit it. I would expect most lenses to be safe though. The mount would be the same for 35mm cameras as well as 16mm cameras so the lens would fit in it if it's a PL mount. You might want to consider a super16mm lens though.. You will be able to go wider, and they cost less
