what kind of money is saved in post production in 35mm by shooting in B&W as opposed to color? is there any printing steps you get to skip like color timing or whatever? and by the way whats an MOS camera? thanks.

Costs will depend on the labs and post-production facilities you are working with. But in general, B&W usually does not offer savings, as today it is a much lower volume product, so the operational efficiencies of the higher volume color work help keep the cost of color low. For example, a lab might only run one B&W processing machine, at fairly low speeds. They may have several color machines, and the ECP-2D print process is often very efficient and high speed to turn out large volumes of work.
