The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) is hosting a seminar titled "The Art of 30-Second Story-Telling" on November 3 from 2:30 ? 3:30 p.m. during HD Expo here at The Petersen Automotive Museum.
An extraordinary cast of cinematographers including Bill Bennett, ASC, Paul Cameron, Curtis Clark, ASC, Peter Collister, ASC, Allen Daviau, ASC and Wally Pfister, ASC will participate in the discussion. They will show clips of their favorite spots and discuss how the images are designed to grab and hold the attention of audiences and make indelible, favorable impressions about sponsors, products and services. The cinematographers will also discuss why they believe commercials should finish and air in HD format.
George Spiro Dibie, ASC and journalist Bob Fisher will co-moderate.
Registration is free through October 31 at www.hdexpo.net. After this time, registration will be $45 at the door the day of the Expo. Parking will be available next door to the Museum at the Petersen lot for $6 as well as limited street parking.
