Another reason to envy and to give props to David Mullen, who's worked with Ms. Hannah at length -- and with better results! :)

At this past weekend's Green Festival event in San Francisco, Daryl Hannah made a too-brief appearance introducing journalist and featured speaker Amy Goodman.

I volunteered to shoot all the Main Stage events with my DSR-450WSL camcorder, so I got this unplanned shot. My apologizes for the slight blur; she was moving fast.

I got my 15 minutes with Darryl Hannah in Walnut Creek in 1988 working for the Dukakis campaign. We set up a series of "town meeting" events in the last month of the campaign and I was the site ├╝Bermensch for all of them. Anyway, she showed up for that one and I was appointed to keep her company before the thing started.

I didn't complain... nor did I get anywhere. Not for lack of trying ;^}

Then Dukakis showed up and she left me in the dust. Broken and devoid of hope. She's very tall

Hi Tim: LOL. Yes, she is very tall! Among other things. ;)

This being cinematography.com I suppose I should mention the image above was shot with my DSR-450WSL in 60i, 16:9, film gamma 1, detail -50, f-stop between 4-2.8, gain 0, manual WB, distance about 15'.

Unfortunately the event's low budget didn't allow the lighting crew to provide backlighting, and the black background curtains made for a stark scene.

Regardless, Daryl sure can light up a room!
