Gray Bersen Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Hi everybody. While I am trying to learn better about HV30, I found out that HV30 can output full resolution at 4:2:2 via HDMI. Can this information be verified or falsified by anyone among this forum please? Because 4:2:2 resolution regarded as the superiority of the HVX200 over HV20/30's 4:2:0 resolution. Thanks in advance.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted March 27, 2009 Premium Member Posted March 27, 2009 Within the limits of the sensor, yes. HV20/30 uses a bayer pattern sensor that isn't quite full resolution, so the signal isn't really 4:4:4 RGB to begin with. I have recorded HV20 uncompressed into a computer and it does look quite nice - for what it is, the thing makes really rather nice pictures. P
