Jordan Stavrev Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I’m a directing a commercial on a small budget on Wednesday and I’m going to also DP it as well. It’s for a company called Vapor Shark, a local E-Cig company here in Miami. I want to do similar moves like in this commercial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=f2AjPfHTIS4#t=39 Does anyone know how they achieved this? I was thinking a turntable for the products, jib with rotating motor head maybe? Also should I use Kinos primarily for the lighting?
Jordan Stavrev Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 One cinematographer told me this "they use motion control cameras and platforms and have the lighting on a board that does the same cues at the same time repeatably - then they shoot them at like a frame a second so they can shoot at deep f stops to make sure they have focus across the object with the lenses there using." What does this mean---- "then they shoot them at like a frame a second so they can shoot at deep f stops to make sure they have focus across the object with the lenses there using"
