I’m a directing a commercial on a small budget on Wednesday and I’m going to also DP it as well. It’s for a company called Vapor Shark, a local E-Cig company here in Miami. I want to do similar moves like in this commercial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=f2AjPfHTIS4#t=39

Does anyone know how they achieved this? I was thinking a turntable for the products, jib with rotating motor head maybe? Also should I use Kinos primarily for the lighting?

One cinematographer told me this "they use motion control cameras and platforms and have the lighting on a board that does the same cues at the same time repeatably - then they shoot them at like a frame a second so they can shoot at deep f stops to make sure they have focus across the object with the lenses there using."

What does this mean---- "then they shoot them at like a frame a second so they can shoot at deep f stops to make sure they have focus across the object with the lenses there using"
